Next to it she wrote this poem:

{ I saw him, he was there;

Waiting for someone else;

I looked at his beautiful face;

And realised, my beating heart;

O heart, why u beat so fast, I cried;

For you are in love my dear, my heart replied. }

{  I look at you; with your beautiful face on my mind,

Its a magnificent view to behold; I feast my eyes;

I love you; I want you to know,

More than even my eyes could show,

I want nothing but you to look at me for a while,

And do nothing but smile  🙂   }

A 15 year old Mary wrote in her diary,

‘Today I saw you with a girl and it broke my heart.’

Next to it she wrote:

{ I saw you smiling at a beautiful girl;

The way I smile at you,

And realised you have fallen in love;

The way I am in love with you,

But alas! Such was the tragedy.

You fall in love with someone else, and not with me.  }

{  Love is a poison; I drank for you,

You didn’t believe me; but it was true,

I gave you my heart, and you broke it on the way,

‘I never loved you,’  you told me as you looked away,

My broken heart is a valuable treasure; now I know,

The one a man cannot be trusted with.’  }

‘Today you told me that you love me and I wanted to say ‘no’ but again my heart betrayed me and all I whispered is a ‘yes’.

{  You said you love me, but I didn’t believe you,’

For you have sold your lies to many, I knew,’

The 17 year old woman wanted to slap you and tell you to go away,

But the 13 year old girl inside me rose in pain, for she had loved you forever and always..’    }

An 18 year old Mary wrote in her dairy,

‘It’s been 5 months since you left me, betraying, for another girl. And I’m angry not at you but at me for trusting in you.’

Next to it she wrote this poem,

{ Everyday you reminded me that you were only mine

For I saw love in your beautiful eyes, shine..

You didn’t even look at other girls and only loved me,

But One day I saw a long hair on your coat and you dismissed it for my fantasy,

I trusted you,

When you told me It was mine,

For I had no reason to not believe you, you were so loving and kind,

If I knew you were betraying me for someone else,

I would have committed suicide, there and then..’     }

A 19 year old Mary wrote in her dairy,

‘All this time, you were away, I wished to see you once but you never came, do not be worried my love,  for I’ll always love you, if we cannot be together in this life, then I’ll simply wait for you,

in the next life and the next….

But I’ll not die yet for I have to live for my parents, and now for this life I have prepared,

I will never love anyone else as it is the biggest crime, in other words Love is simply a waste of time….
