Even if the world says I am wrong,
I’ll dream, because I am strong.
Even if the prospect of failure frightens me,
I’ll dream, believing in a ray of hope,
Where darkness would no longer surround me.
I know that reaching my goal is very tough,
The world follows a calm tide,
While I choose a road that is rough.
Yet, I’ll dream, with the hope that someday,
I’ll achieve the future that plagued my thoughts all day.
What is this dream? You’ll ask,
I’ll smile and say,” To hear it from my mouth,
Shall be mankind’s toughest task.”
Because my insecurities and shyness hold me back.
From knowing that I excel in the fields where I feel I lack.
So why don’t I just go ahead and pursue my dream?
“It’s not so easy!” sometimes with frustration, I scream.
Life’s reality brings you crashing down to the ground.
Here, a man finally accepts his fate,
And the world never hears another joyous sound,
Of passion, hardwork and determination,
Because we are clawed at, and captured by our limitations.
We live, we breathe, yet we feel dead,
Because we let our passions die in our head.
It decays in the most cherished corners of our mind,
Ultimately forgotten, in our monotonous life’s daily grind.
Still, I say,
Ever, you feel a beautiful flicker,
Of hope and aspirations in your heart,
Shed your inhibitions my friend,
As that shall be your truest art.
The art of the pure soul, genuine emotions and daring spirit,
To have the patience to endure difficulties with all your grit.
Try, and let not the risks intimidate your resolve,
And the naysayers?
Let their words dissolve,
Like a pinch of salt in hot water.
Salty in taste, nevertheless, making a sore throat much better.
So are these haters,
Their words hurt us, yet, it makes our resolve greater.
To believe in the most unbelievable.
To achieve the unachievable.
So, my friend,
Work, till you have not achieved your dream.
Push your limits, till you have not achieved your dream.
Give your all, day in, day night,
Till you have not achieved your dream.
And someday, when you finally make all confessions,
When you shed your apprehensions,
About your passion, weaknesses and shyness,
When you stand at the pinnacle of eternal happiness,
I want you to do this with all your might-
“Yes, this was my dream.”
