Happy, worried, sad,
unruffled, surprised, mad…
Some possible descriptions are they,
to depict the division of that day.
Failed are the words,
and also a herd,
in whom hopes glimmered,
but now may have disappeared.
Alas and alack, despite
a boy has racked, he enmeshed in a plight.
At the crossroads he had met, he trespassed,
finally meets the coup-de-grace.
Though words unuttered,
mixed feelings simmered.
Fate seems callous,
unpredictable and fallacious.
“Perhaps I work not hard and smart enough,
not talent, intelligent and tough.
Perhaps it is karma. Am I a fatalist?
Am I a pessimist and defeatist?”
But tritely thinking, tide ebbs and flows,
moon waxes and wanes, and the future no one knows.
Never be turned back is the time,
One can only cherish every moment, from the ridiculous to the sublime.
Interjection again is it, the division of routes.
Lament not is he, for tasted the delectable fruits,
of friendships, growth, experience and wisdom,
and the soft, gentle breeze of love which he fathomed.
Stands still, he beholds,
the stars in the bright firmament as he was told.
Sparkling and twinkling,
rising and falling …
Everything has two sides,
and we should look on the bright side.
In face of vicissitudes,
persevere and have your good attitude.
Fear not, flinch not,
wince not, yield not.
Have faith, have courage,
be staunch and degage.
Choice may be fallible.
What you once thought was wise and acceptable,
might not be the case in future.
So many uncertainties happen in venture.
Regret is no use,
regardless of how much we peruse.
Life has no guarantee.
No presage but no decree.
Life favours no one,
but detests no one.
To rejoice, or to rue,
depends on how we do.
Be proactive, be true.
Live life happily, contentedly too.
Let the past not suffuse to the present,
Make good use of today, the godsend present.
