A Poem – The One

I know its late,
But I realize now.
That your presence in my life
Has simply been wow.
I cannot recall what good did I do,
To ever meet a person like you.
You are always my shade,
You never let the lights fade
You have always been the one
Who wipes the sweat from my brow
Yes you are the one,
The only one
To whom would this head bow.
There is so much,
That I owe to you,
My happiness,
My success, and even my point of view.
With your little fingers,
The picture that you drew,
Has filled my life
With a happy misty dew.
Don’t really know
How to thank thee.
All I can promise,
It will always be we,
And never about me
That I would always
Love and respect thou
Yes you will be the one
The only one
To whom this head would always bow.
There were times
When I would not know
My aims, my ways in life
And this pain and suffering would grow
I would search..
I would look around
Hoping that from somewhere..
I’ll hear a soothing sound
Amongst those million faces…
Some old and some new
With that bright smile of yours
I would find you
You had all the answers
Even to the questions I didnt ask
Gosh….you seemed like an angel
Wearing a mortal Mask
With your smile.
The light you’d show…
Will shoo away my worries
And the suffering would go
It was then
That I took this vow
That I would always
Love and respect thou
And you will be the one
The only one
To whom this head would always bow.
