When I see the children of the world,
lost because of lack of knowledge,
For not everyone is privileged,
I want to spread the light,
I look at myself as Professor X;
I take decisions considering the sentiments,
The urge of revenge doesn’t surpasses the motive of bringing a criminal to justice,
For with great power, comes great responsibility,
I hide the emotions under a mask, and swing in dismay,
And am always in the neighborhood, ready to help,
I call myself SPIDER-MAN,
I know I work the best when left alone;
Ant that I behold the animal within,
But I turn around and realize I have a team;
I think of myself as WOLVERINE,
When I get angry, I cannot control the agony within,
I set aside the limits of my strength,
Control it, and use it against the wrong done,
I only bother for the hurt to my dignity,
My loved ones, and the web of deceit knit around me,
I feel the inferno ignited within and turn into HULK,
I fight without a mask,
For I know strength is not harnessed under a mask,
Also, a hero doesn’t hide behind a mask;
He reveals his courage to the villain and hero to the society,
I call myself SUPERMAN, The Man Of Steel;
When I feel defeated I remember the teachings of my guru,
For a student is known not for its diligence, but sincerity,
Also, failure marks the first step of success,
I think I am LUKE SKYWALKER;
I feel the computer will advance and have emotions too,
Artificial intelligence would be a thing of the past;
For I know per-defined algorithms cannot calculate the phantoms of emotions,
Its as if I own a C-3PO;
I am the most powerful in the universe;
And that I know absolute power corrupts,
And hence,I camouflage under my soberness,
I call myself HE-MAN;
When I feel lost in a vicious circle of revenge and forgiveness,
And my ego surpasses my affection,
I say to myself, “Sometimes, you have to set aside your Pride”,
It makes think of Prince VEGETA (Dragon Ball Z);
I find it better to forgive my enemy,
For I know I have fought well enough and exceeded him way beyond his expectations,
But,there is no point in make him regret from within for he lost against me,
Instead I say, “We have played well”, and give him a hand to support,
I put myself in the shoes of GOKU/KAKAROT (Dragon Ball Z);
When I take the task of teaching,
I look at the ability of my student,
His weakness more than his strength,
His will to surpass his weakness,
And yet, never underestimates his enemies,
And be calm and composed myself, for my student will follow my footsteps,
For teachings of a teacher, is the wisdom of a student,
I think of Yoda (teacher of the Jedi);
When it becomes to beholding a secret,
A secret that could hamper relations and change the society,
I call myself responsible for hindering relations,
And name someone else a hero,
For everyone needs a hero, be it a son or a daughter,
Or society as a whole,
I wear a mask and say in a hoarse tone “I AM BATMAN”- The Dark Knight;
There is a superhero in everyone of us,
One might bring a smile on a disheartened soul,
Make someone walk, crippled for life,
Live to the aspirations of the family,
Always on time for celebrations,
Who cares for others dignity just as that of his own,
Who never rationalizes the emotions,
Who fights for wrong,
A hero’s words echo in every dimension of time and space,
A hero is always a hero,
With or without a mask…
