Poem on My Past, My Present, and My Future

Before…
My heart was weak, my heart was lonely.
It was too heavy, it’s hard to carry.
Full of sorrows, pain, and full of envy.
I even wished to end my life in a tragedy.
I drank all night and I partied all night.
I embraced the darkness and I let go of the light.
I was wicked. I ended up putting a fight.
I just don’t know how to make things right.
Then…
You came into my life unexpectedly.
My heart began beating fast suddenly.
Your genuine smile slowly healed all my agony,
And saved me from life’s full of melancholy.
Your sincerity brings out the best in me.
Your faith in God gives me hope for the light to see.
You lead the way and help me achieve what I want to be,
And stop all evil doings wrapping all around me.
Now…
I am holding your hands and we are vowing in front of God.
I promise to make you happy, you promise not to make me sad.
I pledge to love you forever, you pledge to help me forget the bad.
You oath to be my wife, I oath to be your husband and your only lad.
I will be your knight and shining armor and you will be my strength.
I will be your shield, your sword, and your might.
You will be my guardian angel that will light my path,
And destroy all my worries and troubles in the night.
On this day onwards…
I will be honest, I will be faithful.
I will be responsible, I will be loyal.
We will raise our children to be lovable,
Tell them that God’s power is immeasurable.
I will serve you and take good care of you.
You will be my guide until my day is through.
I solemnly swear to God to cherish you,
To be with you forever and live happily ever after.
You are my past, my present, and my future…
