English Poem – HAPPY DAUGHTERS’ DAY

O’ Almighty , Omnipresent , the Power Supreme,
Bless us and kindness on us all shower extreme,
The daughters of the earth to You pray,
Drench us with thy power on this Daughters’ Day!!!!!!
Heard I in the years bygone,
Thou saved the honour of them all,
When they called You, dejected and forlorn,
They rose with a spirit and never did fall.
I grew with the growth of the globe,
And they all grew in me with inexplicable hope
As I learnt I to plunge and deeply probe,
The rope appeared serpent and the serpent, a rope.
My ‘self’ wondered and wandered alone,
Learning the mysteries of the mysterious way,
They all stood still with bewildered moan,
Waiting to be gulped, as a prey.
Run I with the winding paths galore,
Each way proving a task to explore,
They run with me for whom I run,
The path is broken and I am with none.
Several died and several live and several vow to win,
The power , the glory engulfed in enigma,
Have they learnt to survive through the life’s thick and thin,
What if life is nothing but a stigma.
We lived in a country, adorned by spirituality,
Where women were worshipped akin to Head,
We live in a country, adorned by immorality,
Where women are worse-whipped akin to dead.,
Hear a pray or two of the wretched hearts,
Lie we all as several parts,
You live in us and we in you,
Our dual existence here is so very true.
Live and let us live in house of glory,
Mutual respect be the talk of the day,
We too share the place as creations of Almighty,
Our lives in full in your hands lay.
On this Daughters’ Day, a day to remember us all,
Share a pledge of belonging to us all,
We find you in all- a husband, a child, a father and a brother,
Let’s live in peace and take this world further.
