Poem on Life – SOMEDAY I WANT TO BE A …
We are created by God with a purpose in life.
We cannot deny it, even if we’re in the midst of hunger and strife.
He endowed us with the talents and gifts that we need to measure
Whether we like it or not, all of these we must treasure.
I know a special person who can relate with this one
She used to have a different dream but now it’s gone.
When she was young, teaching was her passion.
She’s been through different trials and challenges, but she managed to hold on.
All of the people in their village were so amaze with her
The children were very much excited and full of good cheer.
They served as her students, and she acted as their teacher.
She’s determined that in the future she can have a good career.
Many years passed, and it’s time to choose a profession.
Her family wanted her to be a nurse, even her brother will pay her tuition.
At first she cannot accept it, feeling terribly sad.
She wanted to rebel against them and she almost gone mad.
How can she give up her most treasured dream?
Are they too insensitive of her broken heart that wanted to scream?
She cannot make her own decision, and that’s the sad reality.
Everything’s been prepared since then, disregarding her own ability.
With a heavy heart, she chose to follow her family’s request.
They jumped for joy as if they’re celebrating for a feast.
Someday, somehow as a nurse, she can find her way out
Helping her family to gain progressiveness without a doubt.
She prayed fervently for God’s guidance in her study.
The fact still remains that she’s always looking for a reason to stay.
As the days went by, she learned to love nursing.
It’s been a blessing in disguise notwithstanding her pain and suffering.
In one way or another, she can still teach other people
She has no regrets for choosing this career, since it’s flexible.
A simple gesture of helping a sick person through health education
Is a fulfilling role that brought pride to her family and the entire nation.
When we’re still conceived in our mother’s womb
God prepared a special mission for us before we reach our tomb.
It only depends if we are brave enough to face our sorrow
Because in the right place, and at the right time, we’ll reap what we sow.
