8 years back when I crossed that road, I saw you standing tall. Fell in love at the very first sight.
Tall, chocolate colour, robust frame would put feebly to envy.
I personally don’t like a lot of green, but you rocked in all shades of green.
Every time I pass by, I saw a different you. You looked different from all angles yet standing tall as ever.
While I was occupied in running after life, I could not see you often.
Two years back, I got an opportunity to pass by that road again.
Don’t know what happened to you, the lively green now looks dull. You don’t look as tall as before.
Was this sudden or it has been there and I could never see it.
Your stature too looks feeble. Now the feeble has taken over you.
The freshness of your face is gone too.
Wonder that you always were an inspiration to stand a tall is now going on a low.
We never got a chance to exchange words as the distance and height was a concern every time, but looking at you made me feel that I am talking to you.
I decided to find out what went wrong, and, to my surprise, it was done by someone or many like me.
We all looked up to you but decided not to care for you.
If I spread my eyes to find you, only I can see a gust of smoke coming out of the crushers that have been crushing you since a long time.
Diggers and long cranes everywhere around you are making you nearly invisible.
Your tall , robust stature is replaced by sky highs around you.
Don’t know when I visit this road again will I ever see you?
