Poetry for Friends – NEED I A FRIEND…
How I wish to laugh to my heart’s content,
But sadly, when I do, I have to comprehend.
And it is so very tough to blend,
I am a gloomy girl with no true friend.
Need I a chum for my heart to share,
Let her not my shortcomings spare.
May she be with me each and everywhere,
Hope she brightens my gloomy life sphere.
Oh! How can I forget those who pretended to be,
A pretend to show how close they were to me.
I knew they would ditch one day, for sure,
And it did happen, my heart foretold so pure.
I’m a true friend to all but none to me,
I make everyone laugh but none make me even glee.
I helped selflessly so many crude ,
But none came to me with words of gratitude.
Nose in the air for their elegant pulchritude,
They always spoke to me in words so rude.
My words may sometimes be harsh,
But I am always as soft as marsh.
My heart never knew of any grudges,
My friendship never was on any conditional wedges.
Still I’m looking and waiting for one,
Who will support me in this life’s run.
Laughter and joy in my heart still unexpressed,
My excited mind can never be suppressed.
Though I know amongst my friend I’m unblessed,
I never wish to see any one stresed.
Hope my prayer for a faithful friend is heard,
I too wish of flying as a carefree bird.
Alongwith those who love me unconditionally,
Yes, a chum i need to share my heart personally.
Over the vast green fields and the deep blue sea,
I’m still in search of a true friend to me.
I AM SEARCHING…
I’m a lonely road of broken dreams
It’s a boulevard that I’m searching for.
These stars are all so dull though so many,
It’s the moon that I’m searching for.
Happiness seems so angry at me,
It’s life that I’m searching for.
There’s crowd around me at all times,
It’s a friend that I’m searching for.
My life resembles like a tedious path,
It’s the destination that I’m searching for.
I don’t know what I have lost in all these years,
Maybe it’s ME that I’m searching for.
