Are You Doggy?- Kids Short Story
After a long and tiring day, it was time to go to bed. I asked my ten years old daughter and four years old son to come to their room. Once settled in the bed, they asked me to tell a story. After one story, my daughter was asleep. Happily and hopefully I looked at my son, anticipating the same, but he was wide awake and looking at me for another story.
“OK” I said,”but only one”. He also accepted, “Yes”. After the story, he was still looking at me for another story, so I pretended to sleep. He called me two-three times. When I did not answer, he also kept quite. While trying to sleep, he held my hand. I took his index finger in my mouth and softly bit it. He just turned and looked at me. When I did the same thing again, he smiled and asked,
“Kaat rahe ho?” (Are you biting?)
I smiled too and replied, “yes.”
He asked again, “Doggy ho?” (Are you a dog?)
I laughed, “yes”.
Immediately, without any delay, he ordered “To bho-bho karo.” (Then bark).
I laughed very loudly but did not bark, obviously…
