Children Short Story – Tricks during auto journey in monsoon

Once Swapnil got late while returning home from office. He just hurried to the near by auto stand and found only a single auto in the stand and that too waiting for just one more person. Swapnil was felling very hot and was happy to see the window seat remaining for him. He quickly went and was about to grab that when the man sitting inside just stopped him, came out and let him in, so that he now gets the window seat. Swapnil anyway controlled his anger. But the same story coincidentally happened another day with the same person and Swapnil. To this Swapnil got very annoyed and thought of taking a small mental revenge with the person.
It was monsoon, and showers were pouring down at its full pace. Water logged at various places. Seeing this the trick clicked Swapnil. He by then came to know where the man used to work, when he used to leave and others.
That day Swapnil left a bit early than when the man usually leaves and started waiting for him. As the man came out, he started following him. Just near the auto stand, as the man was about to board one auto, Swapnil quickly stopped him and said,
“Sir please wait. You cant survive in that inside seat. Let me please go inside and you take this window seat.”
Swapnil saw that to this the man was so happy and as he was scaring that he might remember, the man had completely forgotten about the water logging on the roads today. Naturally when the auto started, and the vehicles from other sides started coming with full pace, water started spilling at that man. To this the man became very angry, but now he realised that he can’t tell Swapnil also to exchange the seat, as during dry days, he had been snatching the seat away from him.
Just to test, Swapnil on another dry day, did the same thing and followed the man till auto stand. He found, that seeing other men, he remained at the window seat, but seeing Swapnil, immediately shifted inside and allowed Swapnil to take the window seat.
