Short Story for Children – Need to be more considerable minded in bus

Once Swapnil got up in a bus to return to his home. As he got up, the bus started moving. The bus was not that crowded, but the seats were all occupied. It was mid summer and he was really tired after whole day’s work and was sweating badly. As a result, Swapnil could not keep his balance and moved towards the back of the bus with a quicker pace. He quickly with help of one handle restricted his movement, but in the process touched one man’s feet slightly. To that the man, who was sleeping made a bad expression to show Swapnil lowly.

Swapnil though told Sorry but was a bit annoyed with this. First of all, he didn’t get any seat, second the bus started moving suddenly due to which only he lost his balance. Moreover this person got the seat and was sleeping. So he should have had been more considering and had had kept silent as Swapnil did not touch his feet to awake him intentionally.

Swapnil thought of making this man realise his fault. Swapnil stood a bit away towards the door from where the man was sitting. Swapnil was trying to know where that man would get down. Suddenly he saw the man was arranging his bag, seeing which Swapnil understood the man would get down in the next stop, Ruby. Swapnil quickly played one trick. Much before Ruby came, and the bus was in a motion, Swapnil just looked around and almost told to himself, such that it is well audible to the man sitting in front of him, “O we just crossed Ruby..so much still to go.”

To this the man, who was just recovering back from his sleep thought that he has missed his stop and immediately got up from his seat and started moving towards the door in the moving bus. Naturally he too lost his balance and started moving a bit faster. All Swapnil did was to place one of his feet in the track of that man slowly. As a result, in the process, the man also touched his feet and now it was Swapnil’s turn to make peculiar expression with his mouth. To this the man got more scared and was about to give excuse to save him when he remembered his same mistake to Swapnil. The man saw that Ruby was coming and understood the whole story.

He politely told “Sorry for my bad behaviour that time” to Swapnil and got down the bus.
