Chinky was a little sparrow. She neither had any friend nor anyone loved to be one as it was a small bird. The bigger birds always thought that she cannot be compared to them. She was left all alone in the forest. Now she rarely met the other birds with all her big big thoughts in her tiny brain.
One day she was roaming alone in the forest. “Tuk tuk” sound took her attention and she saw towards the sound. It was a Squirrel, trying to break the nut. Chinky was so happy to see thinking that she found someone to break her’s boredom. She went near and said ‘hello’. Squirrel was shocked to see the tiny sparrow and just ignored her.
“Hello, my friend” chinky said again a bit louder.
“Friend, my foot. I don’t want to make any friendship with you” squirrel replied.
“Why, why I can’t make friendship with you?” Chinky was curious to know. On this squirrel replied “you are just a tiny bird, I just don’t want you to be my friend. “
Chinky was fed up by listening this one sentence all her life. Annoyingly she said, “this is not the reason. What happens if I’m a little bird?”
She thought for a while and said, “lets put a race. Whoever reaches first on the top of this tall tree is the winner. Are you ready? “
Squirrel’s ego could not refuse to tiny birds silly bet. “How high you, tiny bird can fly?” It left his half nut there and was ready for the race. Chinky just starred it on that statement.
They were ready for race. Chinky said “on the mark, set, readyyy goo..” Squirrel ran on the tree very fast. Chinky too flew with a maximum speed.
Squirrel was excited to defeat chinky. It was very sure about its victory. When it reached on the top, was depressed to see already chinky in place.
“What happened now, I a little bird can defeat you” chinky was delighted with the victory. The butterfly who was watching this incident came and congratulated Chinky and said ” Good Chinky, well done you have proved it that you can also do it, doesn’t matter hoe small you are”. He continued ” I want to be your friend, will you be my friend? “
Chinky was very happy to hear this after so many months and accepted the new friend.
“I am sorry Chinky, I shouldn’t have said those words but I should have encouraged you and made friendship with you. Forgive me Chinky……” Chinky interfered and said ” that’s fine, I’m very happy today. I got not only one but two-two friends. I’m not alone now” she shouted happily.
