Imagine this, you walk outside and you smell this sweetness in the air. When you look around , it seems that everything is glistening. You wonder to your self, “where did i wake up to?” Everything is still the same, but different. You see someone walking towards you and you stop them. You ask them if they see what you see, they roll their eyes and keep walking. You are bewildered. Am I the only one that sees, feels and smells this beauty of earth. Part of you feels privileged that not everyone gets this gift, but the other part is sad that no one is experiencing this moment with you.
You start walking to your favorite park to continue to enjoy your experience, cause you really dont want it to end. As you are walking you keep feeling that you are not alone. Every now and then you catch something moving out of the corner of your eye. You smile and just imagine what could it be. You see a flock of blue birds fly past you, which never happens. Usually, if you get lucky, you will catch one or 2 blue birds, but a flock of about 10 blue birds, yes this day was filled with magic. You continue on your way to your favorite park, noticing all the flowers that are blooming. Spring is such a magical season, everything being renewed and looking fresh. The trees look so green and nature seems to be so happy.
You finally get to the park, and you go on a swing. You feel the wind go through your hair, AS you kick harder and you get goosebumps, swings are so much fun! As you get off the swing you stumble on some rocks and hurt your foot. You bend down to hold it and give your foot some love, but as you do, you start hearing a buzzing sound, like a bee or something, but it’s not a bee. This small creature that is blue and purple with bright green eyes and strawberry hair. You are staring at it while it’s in mid air, looking right at you. It sprinkles some fairy dust on your foot. You are not even thinking of your foot at this point. You feel like you have not took a breath in minutes. Finally you take one big breath in and as you breathe out you say, “Fairy” .
You feel like you are 5 years old again, cause that is the last time you have seen one. It goes by your ear and whispers ,” Marigold”. She continues, ” it means golden flower. I love using my fairy dust to make things beautiful and fresh. Did you notice those Daffaodiljuihks, before you walked by them they actually were drooping, I made them happy again.” she went on, “I also can heal, as you just realized,”
Marigold asks, “what is your name human,?”
You swollow and go to speak, ” Orla” .
Marigold flies down to the grass and kneals. Orla is deeply confused, she asks her what are you doing. Marigold, flies up and says, “you dont know who you are”! Orla shakes her head, “no, who am I?”
Marigold says with the biggest smile, ” why before this life you have now, you were once the Golden Queen.” Marigold continued, ” That is why you can see fairies, among your other gifts.”
Orla told Marigold how she always hated her name. Now she understands why she can see and feel things no one else can. Marigold put some fairy dust on Orlas head and said to her, “you have the fairy blessing, for now on, if we need your help or vice versa, we will find you, always.”
As Marigold goes to fly away, she says, “if you every need my assistance, play violin music, I love that instrument,” . As she smiles, she does a little twirly dance and flies away.
Orla is still on the grass and amazed at what just had happened. She stands up and takes some deep breaths in. She hopes every day is as magical as today. At least now she knows if she is having a bad day, she knows what to do to change her day around. She has never felt more blessed then at this very moment.
Orla goes to walk home and she now sees those daffodils Marigold was talking about. She smiles and knows that her new awakening is just the beginning of a new found life and she cant hardly wait to really start to finally live it.
May the fairys watch over you and may fairy dust fall on your head and bless your many days.
