Long long ago there was a kingdom of snakes deep in the sea of Indian Ocean. King Karmabat was ruling the kingdom with dignity and his loyalty towards justice, dharma. He brought improvement to their race and gained a huge fame around the world. He counted as one of the Veer Samrat of that time. He had a beautiful wife Ravi and she was the Maharani of the kingdom. Ravi was a great devotee of Goddess Durga. The couple has everything in life but had no children.
Years passed away, but Ravi could not become a mother. She decided to go to dense jungle and pray till she gets the blessing from Goddess Durga for a child. She did Tapasya very hard. She did not deviate from her goal and focused on what she was doing. After some year, Devi Durga appeared and blessed her to be a proud mother of a beautiful daughter.
Rani Ravi went back to her palace happily and after some month, she gave birth to a lovely daughter and named her “Aaradhya”. Aaradhya was as beautiful as a pink lotus, soft, glowing. Gradually she grows to become a lovely princess. The way, you can’t hide the smell of Jasmine, chandan…same way the King could not hide the rumour of Aaradhya as the most beautiful women in the earth. King started worrying about her wedding and arranges a big ceremony for swayambar of Aaradhya.
Many big warriors, kings being invited in the Swayambar. Aaradhya had been given a choice to choose her husband from the group of members had been invited. Aaradhya came down to the Rajyasabha with a bridal get up and for a moment everyone stayed speechless. She was looking as beautiful as a Goddess. She was sparkling like a precious dimond. Whoever she was approaching with the flower garland, the person was stepping back saying he could just see the face of her Lord devi in Aaradhya’s face. Aaradhya’s personality was so strong that none of the king dared to marry her and dared to take her with him.
It was a depressing moment for the while kingdom. Very embarrassing for the king as no prince could commit for marrying Aaradhya and all went back. Out of shame, Aaradhya felt depressed and put the flower garland in the neck of a servant Shiva. Everyone gets shocked, but Aaradhya had made her mind. She got married to Shiva and went with him to his home. Shiva was a lonely guy, staying in the kingdom alone. He first could not believe that he is married to the princess of his country. But, then took Aaradhya with him to his hut.
Aaradhya proved herself as a great wife and house maker. One day, Aaradhya was bathing in the river. She was glowing as the first light of sun and looking speechlessly beautiful. Prince of Hastinapur named “Duryadhan” was passing by when he saw Aaradhya and gave her heart to her in first look. He proposed to Aaradhya, but aaradhya refused saying that she is married and truthful to her husband.
Duryadhan did not listen to her and forcefully took her to his Mahal. Duryadhan tried to molest her, but then in the next moment a numerous snakes come down to his room. His room was felt with all snakes…Duryadhan got frightened and looked horrified towards Aaradhya. He could just see Goddess Durga in her face and realized what he had done. He bagged a lot to forgive him. Aaradhya said she can forgive him but in one promise and left the Mahal.
The promise was…..Duryadhan will first marry the worst looking women in the earth and will make her happy in life. Then only he can marry any women he wants to, that’s also with due permission from his first wife. And so that’s happened to him.
