[Joker – Social Short Story]
A person went to a famous doctor for consultation, complaining continuous headache, lack of sleep, giddiness and what not. Doctor checked him thoroughly and diagnosed the person with high blood pressure due to deep depression. The specialist was bit cautious to prescribe heavy dose of medicine though it was need of the condition. There could be possible side effect because the person was never on such medication in past.
He finally told the patient, “You need to be happy and positive in life. Medicine can only suppress the symptom you have. Your treatment is ultimately in your hand”.
The patient humbly replied, “Sir I do not know how to be happy. I have almost forgotten how to laugh – it has been many years; and I do not even remember when I laughed last”.
Doctor promptly suggested, “That would not be problem. There is a joker in town. He makes everyone laugh — whosoever one is and whatsoever mood one has. I would personally recommend you to see his performance as soon as possible”.
The patient, with wet eyes and broken words replied, “Sir… I am that Joker”.
