* She was alone, yet happy. Nothing about her seemed perfect to world. But, she was satisfied. Universe wanted her to change. But, she was reluctant. A handful of mates, an average paying job, long working hours- Yes! That was her life. But still, she refused to be sad. She laughed hard, looked amazing and bagged the award of Best Employee. But still, people said she was sad from inside. Afterall, she was 35 and unmarried.
* Guess what! People were right. Her colleagues, her boss, her neighbor, her maid, the office-boy,an unknown lady on the autorikshaw- everyone was right. She was all alone in her world, wandering, pondering over things that only she knew. She was broken inside. Everytime she laughed, her soul cried inside.
* She too had dreams, a man of her fantasy, an ordinary yet brilliant love story. But now, she had none. She pretended to be normal as she had to. After all, it was her choice.
* He looked at her, she felt nice. He desperately tried to talk, she enjoyed the attention. He asked her out, she said ‘Yes’. He consistently tried to make her smile, she loved his charm. He said cheesy lines, she laughed hard inside. He brought flowers, she didn’t let those dry. She and he floated like clouds on the ground. Soon they realized, it was love that they had found. Things seemed smooth, but circumstances changed. They had issues and they parted their ways.
* Almost a decade after, she was asked the reason. She wanted to pour her heart out, but managed to stay calm. She had neither a charismatic persona nor she was any self-proclaimed feminist. But she stirred every person who wanted answers as she said-
*”He offered her love and she was in need. So, she accepted. He made promises and she wanted to believe. So, she dreamed foolishly. He broke those promises and she didn’t mind. She was in love. Things went wrong, but she hoped. After all, she was in love. One day, she decided to leave when he promised her the world because suddenly, she knew that she had her own.”
