This is how it happened, This is how I died…
24th October 1998,
The dull dimmed night pursues the boiling summer day.
I was driving back to my home with the remnants of the wine, I recently sipped, playing with my lips. I was suffering from flu that night which was common for me as I was a new employee at the Ice Cream Factory, but the count of sneezes I had was quite unignorable. So I drove my car to the St. Christie’s Hospital.
St. Christie’s Hospital was the oldest and undoubtedly the only hospital in the small town of Stowe. The unknown but ‘weird’ architect of the hospital gave it a gothic and eerie appearance.
I went straight to Agatha the 89-years-old receptionist who spent more than half of her life serving in the hospital. I knew her very well as she is the one who guides me every time I enter the premises.
Agatha asked me to grab a seat as the doctor was busy with an operation.
I was getting disturbed, by recalling the rumours of corpses which meandered in the hospital with a red tag on their toe.
Once again I was lost in spooky thoughts when the reception bell rang, a shiver ran through me. I was back in the real world with positive thought and a doctor’s appointment.
01: 49 AM
I headed straight towards the elevator and pushed the button saying 12th floor. The doors of the elevator were closing when abruptly I saw a teen girl rushing towards the elevator. I assisted her by blocking the doors and allowing her to come in.
The girl was as silent as a grave, standing in the corner of the lift. Red dress, Expensive Handbag, Sparkling sandals. She had a big deep scar on her forehead which was enough to spook me up. Her expressionless face and innocent eyes were hiding some deep dark secrets.
The beep sound of the elevator distracted me and indicated that we were on floor 13, the floor I never wished to visit.
I’ve Made a Grave Mistake!!!
The floor where they kept the corpses. I was waiting like hell for the doors to shut.
The gloomy muggy atmosphere and the stench of rotting bodies made me feel vulnerable.
I was praying to God like I never did before.
The door closed. I had a sigh of relief.
Still, the girl standing beside me was expressionless, and a teen girl who didn’t scream out loud in this situation was unusual.
I thought she don’t know anything about the rumours.
I tried to have a normal conversation with her and told her about the dead people wandering in the hospital after midnight with a red tag on their toe.
She was alarmed and had a creepy smile on her face.
“Oh”, she said removing her glittering Sandals, “a tag like this ?”
She showed up with a Red Tag on her Toe!
I FAINTED.
