Short Story – Sometimes It Is What We See

One day I was folding up clothes on my closed in back porch by a window. When I looked out, I saw a man in a white car just sitting and staring at my yard with the most evil look on his face. At first, I thought it was my father, but I knew that he did not drive a white car. I took my eyes off of him in just one split second. When I looked at the man again, his head and stomach started to swell large inside his car.

When I saw him swell, I could not believe what I was seeing. He turned and looked towards my neighbors house beside me. Then I took my eyes off of the man again in just one split second to put down the towel that I was folding. When I looked again, the man was gone. I did not hear an engine start or any tires roll. The man disappeared out of site like he was never there.

Sometimes we think that we just imagine things, but sometimes the things we see is what we see. We have a spiritual eye and a physical eye to see things. Many people say that they have seen UFO’s and ghosts. Nine times out of ten, what you have seen is what someone else has already seen.

Why did I see the evil man looking at my yard? Why did he disappear? I do not know. I feel that it was meant for me to see him and was a warning to be prepared for an enemy. I also believe that it may have meant death for some of the people in the neighborhood. Sometimes we see strange things. Sometimes it is what we see.
