Unusual Short Story – Walking with a Ghost

This is a story of my big father who was sick and he had vomited blood. I didn’t believed this true story but when i asked my big father he said this actually had happened to him.

One day when it was a dark night my big father had went to visit places with his friend. That day they went to visit Bhaktapur. Then when they returned home it was almost dark but his friend home was in Kadaghari. So, my big father had to go to Kadaghari. Then they went to his friends home. They sat there and chatted ,in chatting my big father didn’t notice the lost of time. By the time my big father returned it was almost 8 o’clock. Then he started to walk faster but when he came near to a small stream of water he saw a young lady of his age.

She was lost. She wanted to find her way to home. Then my big father saw her and asked her

“What are you doing in the dark?”.

Then she told that her home is Saraswatikhel and wanted to find her way to home. Then he said that

“I live in Dhunchopakha and the place you’re going is only half kilometer from my house.”

Then they started to chat and walk slowly then my big dad’s lace of the shoe got untied and when he sat to tie the lace then he saw it,..the leg of the girl was completely turned back but he thought that he was just imagining that because he was scared.

Then after 5 minutes the girl started to walk slowly, indeed very slowly but my big father kept on talking to her but he realized that the girl had stopped to speak. He said

“Why aren’t you responding to me?”

but when he turned back there was no one there. He looked everywhere but couldn’t see her. Then he realized that she was not a girl at all, she was a Ghost.

Then my big father started to run as he had never ran before. When he reached to a road up a hill he looked back but he didn’t had any sign of her. After that he started to run even faster. When he reached home he was seen by his neighbours. Then after he reached to the main door of his house but he felt unconscious and fell on the ground. The next day when he woke up he started to vomit blood. Then he realized that he was walking with a ghost.

When he got healthy he went to the place where he met the girl………with some friends there he found grave of many people as well as of the girl. He was scared. Then he returned home and went to the place of the girl. The neighbors of the girl told that the girl died 2 months ago and will come to scare people. The neighbor had seen her ghost too….and was terrified.

This story proves that we must believe in ghost as many of my family members have seen different ghost at different time in a different place.
