The weekend had finally come round again quickly. After having had a long busy week working in the human resources office. Doing full time working hours each week, though I greatly enjoyed my administration job. It had to be said. I came up quickly with the idea of going out for a day trip tomorrow afternoon to Barmouth. I spent most of last Friday evening planning out my day trip to Barmouth. And decided I was going to take one train for the journey from Hartford to Barmouth. Which would only take about an hour and a quarter both to and from Barmouth on train. I was going to take the town centre bus and get off the bus just by the little pub called the three lions.
So I woke up last Saturday afternoon fairly earlier than usual at six thirty in the morning. So I had still had plenty of time to get myself washed and dressed into a decent casual t shirt and trousers. And get myself prepared for the train journey in the early afternoon. So I spent most of the morning researching online on my laptop all the sightseeing places to be seen in Barmouth. The morning seemed to pass by in front of me so quickly that by the time I finished researching on the internet and shut down my dell laptop it was already coming up to twelve o clock on Saturday afternoon. I decided to make myself a tasty tuna and mayonnaise sandwich, one of my top favourite lunches to eat and also a small lettuce, tomatoes and peppers salad. Feeling so hungry I managed to eat the lot with great appetite. By around twelve forty five in the afternoon I seriously had to make my way all the way to the Hartford railway station. So at twelve forty five I rushed to get my purple leather handbag and purse along with me from inside the hall cupboard. And put on my long purple regatta raincoat which I wore for the spring months. It was now coming up to the end of April.
I then walked quickly to the nearest bus stop by my house and the town centre bus just stopped by the parking space just at the right moment. I paid for my bus ticket and went to stand towards the back of the bus. It was currently so packed on the inside of the town centre bus, so typical on a Saturday afternoon I thought wearily to myself. However it only took ten minutes to drive close to the Hartford town centre. Unless there was heavy going traffic, which was rare in the small town of Hartford thankfully. I looked up at the Hartford railway station tower clock above me and it was currently twelve fifty five. I still had another ten minutes to wait before the right train arrived at the railway station.
I spent most of the train journey to Barmouth gazing out of the train windows admiring the town and rural areas. And tall mountains and could clearly make out the outline of the sea towards the end of the train journey. The views were so stunning to me. When I got out of the train I first walked twenty minutes where there were a few shops on the right hand side of me. I decided to go into one of the candy shops and bought myself a few peppermint stripy patterned candy rocks. Yet so hard to chew but so delicious to eat. I can remember eating my very first candy rock bought from Barmouth when my parents took me there when I was little. I then spent a good amount of my time on the sandy beach sightseeing standing quite a distance away from the sea. Today the waves got really high and crashed against a wall. It was a great afternoon out in Barmouth and I definitely planned to go there again next time with two of my friends possibly in the summer.
