When finally he had made it to the grove after so much of patience and hard work, the mango trees were not even interested in talking to him forget about making friends with him.

A past freelance journalist, a social worker, a qualified public policy expert from Indian School of Business (ISB), an educationist, but largely a rolling stone, Junned Khan, now an author, has spent about 2 decades working for, but mainly trying to understand, the world of disadvantaged children. He has been puzzled and pained by the disparities, scarcities and difficulties so glaring in the lives of children living in poverty, in the slums and so many villages across India and across the world. He hopes for the day when all children of the world will be equal and happy. To fulfill his dream, Mr. Khan, has co-started a children's foundation by the name of A Billion Dreams along with his Indian School of Business fellow Alumni. The foundation is reaching out to disadvantaged children in the villages and slums through quality education and welfare programs aimed at their overall development.
