Short Story: A Nest of Shattered Dreams…!!! by Unnat Parghi

Dear Writer, please find below our objective review comment based on five key elements of short stories:
Character: Very direct character development. This may create prejudice while reading and thus causing actions and events not fully effective. Characters to be limited to theme of stories, for example, wife role would have been down played.
Setting: Very detail setting, typical of novel writing. We recommend limiting setting to one timeframe only. If another timeframe is needed, keep is short.. very short.
Plot: Nice plot. However starting has unrelated detail setting and thus defocusing from theme. End is good. Sometime it is good not give clear message. We feel that story would have better ended at “You are late Kushal, very very late.”
Conflict: Very good presentation of conflict and equally good climax
Theme: A good theme that can be related by many readers. Please be stingy in choosing characters and detailing settings.
Having said the above, we strongly believe that story is an art and every art is invaluable – there is nothing good or bad as art is beyond boundaries of these adjectives. Therefore the creator is the best person to decide whether the creation meets her expectation. We like your story in total and our comments are just objective comparison with the patterns we observed in most liked short stories.
