    I’m a Girl

English Poetry published on April 14, 2018 by mishamithlesh

Excerpt: I'm the princess of my Papa,And laado of my Mamma. There are different kinds of, people in the world and I, have to prove myself between all these.

I am a Girl and I’m proud of myself

All says You are a Girl. Don’t do this

Don’t do that but It’s my will that

I can understand that what is good

    or bad for me.

Nobody has no right who imposed

    his/her opinion on me.

All girls listen to your heart

what you want. If somebody says

    when will you get married

    then you answer will be

    first I would be self-dependent

that after I’ll think about it.

I’m the princess of my Papa

    And laado of my Mamma.

    There are different kinds of

people in the world and I

    have to prove myself between

all these. I have the right to make

    friends because I can understand

    good or bad myself.

Why should I have not fun?

I can go anywhere in this world

and can alone travel in late-night.

    I can do late-night parties.

I can be a best CEO, MD or a

    business woman. Engineer

as well as a Doctor and a Scientist,

    an astronaut.

I can also manage office and home.

God has given me a special thing

that I can give birth a child.

Without me there is no life

so why you always say that betiyaan

    bojh hai on parents.

What I should wear, it should

be my decision and right only.

Don’t be laugh at loud because

you are a girl, says everybody.

    Why? I questioning.

    I can laugh loudly, can

    shout and can take burp.

    Whenever I have periods

    or menstrual cycle so bua-dadi

says don’t go temple and in kitchen

    because you are impure.

    All these are just disgusting.

It hearts me. Why all the restrictions

    are only for me?

Why not on boys? Because they

    are the “ghar ka chirag”

    So girls never be underestimate.

    You are powerful, strong and

have a huge mind and heart.

So girls get up and obtain the

    desires and fulfill your dreams,

that was always yours, is yours and

    will be yours.
