Jako returned from the village meeting after midday. He joined us on the verandah looking very depressed. A cloud of silence mourned the atmosphere once more
Jako talked with his family about me and Aiko’s relationship. To our amazement the family were more delighted to hear the news than we were
Our miraculous adventure had a strong hold in the village and for many days I had repeat the same story to Jako’s family and the village about how we survived the ordeal
Now I had got my confirmation I could sense myself rejuvenated. Not only I got to see Aiko more often but a new bond had formed between me, Hiroto and Sato.
Ever since Hiroto told me about Aiko’s feelings towards me fear and panic both started residing in my heart. Though Hiroto had mentioned that she likes me
The fields were now much emptier and Jako didn’t have to go to the market again. I suppose he had earned enough from his last trip
Days were getting warmer now and the village much busier. The fields had woken up with fresh new shoots of the seeds we had planted last week.
Days went by so quickly that I didn’t even realize that am able to walk without any support or pain. It had been seven months now since I had been here.
There is a stir of happiness all around Jako’s house. Everyone looks occupied with something. I loved to see Sato really going up and down meeting the demands
It’s the mid-spring season and I still can’t walk. The pain is still there which is the worst part of it. I really miss hospital service back home
