“Hello, Mr. Atmaram, can I come in?”
“Oh… Advik, please come in.” He was in much better apparels today, a Light blue shirt and dark ‘tomato’ red trousers.
“So your client agreed on 2.5%?”
“Do you have a laptop or a PC? I have something to show you first.” I said taking a pen drive out of denim pocket.
As I started the video on the Laptop, he was stunned in the silence seeing our conversation the other day in the video. He was frightened of the fact that he accepted that they killed Mr. Sanjay Shah was also part of the video
“You look stunned; I guess you haven’t heard about the spy cameras, they can fit in anywhere, buttons of a shirt, pen, anywhere.”
“What you want to prove? Who the hell are you? I don’t think you are going home alive today.” He was sweating heavily on relatively not so hot day.
“Shant Gadadhari Bhim, Shant..!! If anything would happen to me, I already have it planned, by tomorrow morning one copy of this video along with other evidences (nobody except me knew the fact, that I never had evidence with me, it was just a gamble) will be with the Commissioner of Police, another with the home ministry and one copy will be with each of the media giants. Then, I will see what your so called god fathers will be able to do once they are exposed to media and public at large.” I threw the ace of the spades.
“What the hell do you want, why are you doing all this?”
“That’s more like it. Look I actually came here to expose the fact that Mr. Shah wasn’t killed by any accident but it was the murder and there was a scam behind it. But, nobody seems to be interested in it. So, now even I am not interested in exposing you people, in that manner you are somewhat lucky. “
“Then, what are you interested in?”
“I am interested only in a centrally air-conditioned office on C.G.Road, nice BMW waiting in the parking lot, an I-Pad to check my mails, a little 5BHK Bungalow for my family to live in. In short I want dus khokha, and I will leave you people.”
“Have you gone nuts, Dus Khokha? How will I arrange for it, it’s not a small amount?”
“I know it’s a huge amount for you, but not for your god fathers. Ask them to meet me once; they also end up in trouble if I expose all these. I don’t want to create problem for anyone. But if any problems are created from your side, many of you will be in serious trouble, please make that sure.”
“You are not doing good dear, you don’t know that people.”
“And I don’t even want to know them, I just want my money and I will be back to my city like a ghost.”
“Take care, Mr. Mehta, that’s only I can say.”
“You better take care of your a*s Bhide and arrange those ten khokha soon or else I will f**k you guys and I mean it.”
So much have been transformed within last one and half month or so, I used to be a Professional, working in a high-profile company and today I was black-mailing some local Marathi thug. I hadn’t shaved since last fortnight or so, even my look was not much different from that of a thug. I wasn’t able to recognize myself standing in front of a mirror, but the change is inevitable only thing is how you anticipate it and how you implement it. Suddenly I remembered I had to go with Sharvari tonight for a party, first thing I did was to search for a barber shop nearby, got myself clean-shaved, felt good to look at the original Advik, the Advik I knew in the mirror.
“Someone is looking striking, clean-shaved; ahaannn!!” Sharvari who was in Shining Silver frock said as I got into the car.
“But, not someone Zuzu is looking super cute.” I said with a blink of an eye, blushing smile came in the reply from the other side.
“By the way you are taking me to whose party?”
“Mine, dad has enough money but he doesn’t have time for me. So I throw party every night, gather people and enjoy. The only thing I want is people and their warmth and that is what I am not having. So I am using what I am having -my dad’s money to have what I want.”
One has to acknowledge; only thing Ahmedabad is missing is the night life. You forget all your worries as soon as you step in the night club, with loud music, big bunch of youth dancing around the tunes of music keeping all their worries and problems at the doorstep of the pub, drinks pouring and people getting drunk, screaming and enjoying.
“Thank you Advik.”
“Thank you, for what.” I was totally in the drunken state of mind; I wasn’t used to drinking much. Alcohol had left its impact on me and my mind for sure as both of me & zuzu were walking by the Nariman Point footpath, parking a car on a road side. Nice breeze was flowing from the sea on the left hand side. It was making me feel like I was flying on the clouds rather than walking on a footpath, alcohol surely had given me the wings.
“For coming to the party, for accompanying me here for a walk, for complementing my poem and for don’t know what.” She was feeling cozy beyond any doubt, she was also drunk.
“In fact, I should thank you for the party.”
“Don’t you think, you talk much and act less?”
“Really…!” I was totally blank at that moment.
“Yes, you silly boy” She leaned forward and kissed me, I also reciprocated.
