“I don’t think you are used to drinking much.” I heard Sharvari, as I woke up. I was feeling the hangover; the feeling was like someone had put the weight of around fifty-sixty kilograms on my head itself. I was amazed at the fact that, I wasn’t at the Gujarati Bhavan instead I was lying on a sofa in some apartment.
“Yes, it’s only second time, first I had in my college days.” I sensed presence of Sharvari in the room.
“Good Afternoon.” She said as I had a look at her, she was looking fresh and to my surprise she was in the Indian outfit.
“Good Afternoon?”
“It’s 2:00 in the noon!”
“Can you please drop me at my room?”
“Why not, waise bhi I wanted to have a tea at your kitliwala..!”
“Good, can we make it fast?”
“I am afraid you had some guests last night or earlier today morning?” Sharvari sounded totally shocked as we both stood in the middle of my room, in fact strewn-scattered room. My luggage was totally out of the bag, bed sheets and the bed were out of the place, some other stuff was also scattered in the room, in short my room was in a mess.
“Bl**dy A**holes…!” I took out my cell and dialed a number in hurry.
“Bhide, you talked with your fathers?”
“Yes, I did!”
“They sent some visitors to visit my place. Do you think I am some stupid, who will keep this much important thing in a guest house room?”
“I don’t know about it.”
“Then get to know one thing you fat a*s, I am gonna f**k you all. Ask your boss who so ever he is to meet me if he wants to save his a**.”
As I disconnected the call, I realized Sharvari was also present there and now she was outlandishly glaring at me, this made me little uncomfortable.
“We finance people have been ingenious in finding ways to screw up.”
I said looking at her, she kept the glare on. I cleaned the jumble over there a bit, let her seat on the bed and explained her everything from the word go.
“So, you are doing all these for the sake of dus Khokha? Your life values more than it, make sure of it.”
“I know dear, what I am doing.”
“Are you sure?”
“Hundred percent sure, confident, Lock Kar dijiye Lady Bachhanji” I said patting on her left cheek, a very unconvincing smile took over her face.
Bollywood has really under rated the Underworld mafias, they always show them hiding in some left out factory outside the city skirts or in some abandoned ages ago house. Even Mafias are always portrayed to be ugly looking, with most probably bald personality and all that. But, I was amazed to look at the reality, it was totally opposite. It was like I was sitting in the corporate office of some top corporate of the country, none of the persons moving around looked like a thug, they actually were in even better dressing then I used be at my office, I was feeling like I was sitting for some interview in one the of the corporate house.
“Advik, Mr. Saxena is calling you in!” A teen-ager in his wrinkle less Peter England shirt and trousers broke the gush of my thoughts.
As I went in the cabin, I saw a very handsome guy in Black Business Suit, his hair were abnormally Black (I guess, he must have colored them last night), his personality didn’t looked like that of a don, he looked more like an industrialist except that there was some spark of violent streak in his eyes.
“Mr. Advik Mehta, Chartered Accountant, Date of Birth: 28th January, residing at Usmanpura Gam, Mummy working at Bank of India, An elder sister at home, completed CA in 2011, worked for Shalvik Hospital for 2 months and now working in AV Construction since last six months.” I felt he was reading my CV.
“Tell me something I don’t know Mr. Saxena.” I said carelessly.
“You don’t know who I am kid.”
“So, now read out your profile, that would be better.”
“For your information, it’s enough to say I am the right hand of Shoaib Bhai here in Mumbai.” He proudly said as if he was the assistant to the President of India.
“As if I care, look Mr. Saxena I don’t know your Shoaib Bhai and you are which ball of him, right or left. I don’t want to create any kind of impediment. I just want money and I will leave you people, as simple as that.”
“You are not afraid of death.”
“Look now, you are creating complications. Even I can frighten you that I will publish whatever I have, watch out for tomorrow morning news, no more deals.”
“I must say you are very much gutsy guy and second thing I am impressed with your attitude, even though you are my counterpart I have to admit it.”
“Thanks for your honesty.”
“Dus Khokha, is a big amount, I can’t give it to you like this. Rethink your figure; I am the person who can help you in future as well. I would like person like you to be my partner.”
“Look sir, I am not selling Aalloo-Bhindi, ki you are negotiating with me. If you want to save your a**, show me the money, I am giving you time to re-think your decision, you have time till tomorrow noon or else you know the headlines of the tomorrow’s evening news dailies. Good day.”
